The Centerville City Council has decided to proceed with a city-wide curbside recycling program. The program will be city-wide it will not be mandatory.
At the March 17, 2009 City Council meeting at 8:00 pm, the City Council will again accept public comment on if and how the City should proceed with a city-wide curbside recycling program. The meeting will be held in the City Council room, 250 North Main.
The Green Waste program has now been implemented. Cans have been delivered and billing has been changed for anyone who has registered for the program. March through November the green can is for green waste only. Dec-Feb the green can can be used for regular garbage. This is an ongoing program in the City. You may still sign up at any time by calling the City Administrative office at 801-295-3477. Reminder: July 31st, 2011 is the deadline to pick up your free scoop of mulch at the landfill, located at 1997 N 3500 East in Layton. The landfill will be able to verify that you have a green waste container.
