Stream Cleanup Day

  On February 17, 2005 Mayor Michael Deamer sent a letter to community representatives setting aside April 9, 2005 as a citywide stream clean-up day. Mayor Deamer requested that the neighborhood emergency coordinators be utilized in the planning and coordination of this event. In the letter Mayor Deamer expressed the desire for a "large scale citizen involvement". With the heavy snow accumulation it is expected that the stream flows this spring will be heavy and clearing the channels will help water to stay within the banks of the streams.
