Centerville City has contracted with Ace Disposal for residential waste collection service. Ace Disposal is committed to providing a safe and reliable service to the Centerville community. If you have questions or concerns regarding the collection service, please contact our Customer Service Representatives at 363-9995.

 Monthly Fees    Some reminders of the garbage service

Monthly primary can fee: $10.91

Green Waste (see green waste page)

  • Collection routes will be established city-wide on three days of the week, Tuesday through Thursday. Residents will receive a map indicating their collection day.

• Collection service will be delayed on weeks that include the following holidays, regardless if the holiday falls on collection day: New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. Pick-up will be one day later for the remainder of the week during these holiday weeks.

• Containers should be placed in the street with the wheels against the curb or within 2 feet of the blacktop and the front of the container facing the street by 7:00 a.m. on the scheduled day.

• Containers should be placed 4 feet apart from other containers and 8 feet from mailboxes, poles, fences, trees, and parked vehicles for easy access.

• Containers should be placed away from overhead obstacles such as tree branches and wires.

• All waste should be bagged and placed in containers. Containers should not be overloaded. The lid should close to help prevent spills when dumping.

• Containers should only be used for household trash and acceptable yard waste. Acceptable yard waste includes grass clippings, leaves, tree limbs and shrub trimmings cut to fit inside the container. Dirt, rocks, sod, and concrete are unacceptable.

• Other unacceptable waste includes flammable materials such as oil, gas, and paint or hot ashes and coals; hazardous and toxic waste, septic tank waste, unbagged animal waste or explosive and radioactive materials; automotive products including motor oil, tires, and batteries; and metal and debris from construction, remodeling, or demolition projects.

• Residents can request additional containers for an additional charge by calling the City offices.

• Containers must remain on the resident’s property as assigned and properly cared for.

• Residents shall be responsible for any loss or damage to the containers resulting from negligence and abuse, except for normal wear and tear.
