Abandoned, wrecked and junked vehicles are prohibited. Also, no yard or other open space may be used for the accumulation of trash, debris, or abandoned equipment. In fact the Zoning Code prohibits a junk and salvage yard within the entire City. By Ordinance a junk and salvage yard is defined as:
“Any lot or parcel used for the collection, storage, keeping, or abandonment of wastepaper, rags, scrap metal or discarded material, including the dismantling, demolition, or abandonment of automobiles or other vehicles, or machinery or parts thereof.”
Those found not in compliance of the Zoning Ordinance will be subject to enforcement action.
