Flood Insurance Studies

The Flood Insurance Study (FIS) investigates the existence and severity of flood hazards in the Centerville and aids in the administration of the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 and the Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973, as ammended.  The FIS is a useful tool to planners, engineers and others in their efforts to promote sound floodplain management.  For more information on how to use the FIS, visit the FIS Tutorial.
