UDOT Road Construction Updates Date: Friday, May 09 @ 11:01:05 Topic Traffic   Road construction update - April 9, 2008 Legacy Parkway Construction Update Thursday May 8, 2008 ‹--- Woods Cross DELAY: Due to the rain yesterday, 500 South near <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Redwood Road</st1:address></st1:street> will not open until 10 a.m. tomorrow morning (Friday). <st1:place w:st="on">West Bountiful</st1:place> Impact: Beginning early next week access to the Bountiful Landfill will change.  Motorists will enter at <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Porter Lane</st1:address></st1:street>, drive south on Legacy all the way to 1200 North, then drive north on the frontage road to the landfill. This temporary detour will be in place for about 2 months. Activities:  Crews will work on remaining items required for the final route to the Bountiful Landfill to open. <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Centerville</st1:place></st1:city> The right-of-entry agreement required to drive long pieces of steel called piles deep into the ground for the <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Parrish Lane</st1:address></st1:street> railroad overpass is now in place. 1. Impact: Beginning next week residents near <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Parrish Lane</st1:address></st1:street> may experience some noise and mild vibration. The good news is that the first 10 days or so of pile driving can be done during the day.  After that crews must perform the work at night when there will be less trains traveling through the area. 2. Impact: Beginning early next week the 1250 West and <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Parrish Lane</st1:address></st1:street> intersection traffic will be directed by a flagger at all hours.  Traffic delays are anticipated as a result of this work. Activity: Crews are going to reconstruct the intersection to tie-in with the new overpass.  By flagging the intersection the work will only take about 3 weeks instead of 3 months if some of the lanes remain open. <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Farmington</st1:place></st1:city> REMINDER: I-15 southbound will be closed tonight and tomorrow night at <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Park Lane</st1:address></st1:street>. Impact: Mon. May 12-Fri. May 16, from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., I-15 southbound will be closed at <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Park Lane</st1:address></st1:street>. Traffic will be directed on to <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Park Lane</st1:address></st1:street> and then back to I-15 southbound. Activity:  Crews are working on the overpass that connects Hwy 89 to <st1:street w:st="on"><st1:address w:st="on">Legacy Parkway</st1:address></st1:street>.
