Spring 2011 Daily Information
May 31, 2011 - Stream flows decreased substantially with cooler weather, but the snow water equivelant went the wrong direction.

May 25, 2011 - In morning hours, approximately 9:30 am, the stream gage registered a new high at 32 cfs.

May 24, 2011 - We do still have about 37 inches of water at the SNOTEL site in Parrish Canyon. In anticipation of the warmer temperatures we should be aware of the increased height of the water in the creeks. Over the past week, we have seen a dramatic increase in the flow of Lone Pine Creek, which is commonly dry. With this particular creek flowing into Freedom Hills Park, we are reminding residents to use safe practices in and around this creek as well as all other channels through the City.
Davis County has done several smaller projects to help mitigate the increased flows. They cleaned out the lower end of Deuel Creek as well as a section of Ricks Creek just east of Pony Express Drive. They also have crews removing trees from the lower section of Ricks Creek.
No significant incedents of problems were noted today.
The water equivelent is down about 8 inches of 44.4 in early may. However, that is only a 18% decrease. The Parrish Creek stream gage has recorded flows of about 30 cfs in the last 24 hours. For a short video of this volume of stream flow, click here. The debris basin is near completion, as seen in the pictures below, and on the Centervilleut Youtube Channel.
