Stormwater Ordinance
Centerville City’s new Stormwater Ordinance became effective on July 1, 2007. The City Council updated the Stormwater Ordinance to comply with Federal and State laws and to protect Centerville’s homes, streets, infrastructure, and environment. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Utah Division of Water Quality (DWQ) require that cities, like Centerville, regulate stormwater discharges occurring within their jurisdiction. The Stormwater Ordinance impacts residences, businesses, and construction sites by regulating the types of discharges entering the City’s storm drainage system.
